Join-In Pro supports multiple access methods, allowing you to interact with digital environments in the way that works best for you.
Open Settings and select Input Device to choose your preferred access method.
Mouse & Pointer Devices
Use a standard mouse or an adapted pointing device, such as a head mouse or other alternative pointing device.
Choose how you want to make selections:
- Dwell – Select items by hovering over them.
- Click – Select items using a mouse click.
When Dwell is selected, you can customize:
- Dwell Time – Set how long you need to remain on an item before it is selected.
- Dwell Animation – Choose a Shrink or Clock animation and select a color that is easy to see.
- Minimum Time Between Selections – Add a short delay between selections to help prevent accidental double activations.
- Allow Repeating Selection – Enable repeated selection of the same item without moving away from it.
- Website Highlight Color – Choose the color used to highlight the currently focused item while browsing.
Click Apply to save your settings.
Eye Gaze
Select Eye Gaze as your input device.
Eye gaze uses the same selection methods and accessibility settings as mouse access, making it easy to switch between the two without learning a different setup.
Available settings include:
- Dwell or Click selection
- Dwell Time
- Dwell Animation
- Minimum Time Between Selections
- Allow Repeating Selection
- Website Highlight Color
Click Apply to save your settings.
Switch Access
Select Switch as your input device and click Apply.
Configure Your Switches
Choose a preset switch adapter or create a Custom mapping by following the on-screen instructions and pressing each switch when prompted.
Configure Scanning
Adjust the scanning settings to match your preferences:
- Scanning Pattern – Scan Cell by Cell or Row First.
- Scanning Mode – Choose Automatic scanning or Press Switch for manual control.
- Progress Time – Set how long the scan remains on each item before moving on.
- Scanning Style – Highlight the current item using an animation, frame, or background color.
- Scanning Loops – Choose how many times the scan repeats across the screen.
- Website Scanning Pattern – Select a separate scanning pattern for browsing websites.
Click Apply to save your settings.
Touch
Select Touch as your input device.
Touch access allows you to interact directly with buttons and controls on the screen. No additional accessibility settings are required.
Click Apply and you’re ready to begin using Join-In Pro with touch.
